Art that makes room for recognition.
Richard Beavers Gallery connects contemporary art with the experience of seeing one’s own life reflected on a gallery wall. Its story began with a personal encounter with Black art and developed into a business built around artists, collectors, and community. The gallery makes cultural connection central to the collecting experience.
About the founder
Brooklyn-raised Richard Beavers developed his interest in art after visiting a gallery that showed work he could connect with personally. That experience helped shape his own path as a gallerist.
